ALCUNI ASPETTI MATEMATICI (prima parte) Mario Barra Riassunto Vengono indicati i movimenti delle facce mobili del cubo di Rubik che lo portano da una posizione con le facce mescolate, alla soluzione nella quale tutte le facce hanno lo stesso colore. I movimenti vengono illustrati attraverso molti disegni, e nei casi più complessi sono accompagnati da filastrocche che in alcune sperimenta- zioni hanno agevolato, almeno inizialmente, la ricerca della soluzione. Si ritiene che l’attività connessa sia un eccezionale esercizio delle capacità visive, e del resto questo è l’obiettivo dichiarato dall’inventore del rompicapo. Viene aggiunto alla fine un approfondimento matematico. Abstract The movements of the movable faces of the Rubik’s cube are pointed out to bring the cube from a position with the mixed faces, to the solu- tion in which all the faces have the same color. The movements are illustrated through many designs, and, in the most complex cases, are accompanied by rhymes that in some experimentations have facilitated, at least initially, the search of the solution. It is believed that the relate activity is an exceptional exercise of the visual abilities, and furthermore this is the objective declared by the inventor of the puzzle.
